THE PROCESS
A calm, straightforward experience from first conversation to final images
Before your session
Every shoot starts with a conversation about the kind of photographs you’re drawn to, where we might shoot, and the overall style or mood you have in mind.
Some people prefer working at home where everything already feels familiar. Others want a hotel, studio or somewhere with a bit more visual character. There’s no single ‘correct’ approach to any of it.
We’ll also talk through clothing, styling and references if you have them. And if you don’t, that’s absolutely fine too. Most people are not arriving with a Pinterest board and a creative director.
During your session
The sessions themselves tend to feel far more relaxed than people expect.
There’s direction throughout, but nothing overly stiff or over-rehearsed. You are not expected to know how to pose, perform or suddenly become somebody else for the camera.
The aim is simply to create photographs that feel natural, flattering and beautiful without losing the personality of the person in them.
After your session
Your final images are carefully edited and delivered through a private online gallery.
From there, you can:
view everything quietly in your own time
shortlist favourites
choose a collection that feels right for you
decide whether you'd like prints or artwork
There’s no sales pressure and no expectation to buy more.
Hopefully you’ll come away with a set of photographs you genuinely love.
Common Questions
Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all. I guide things naturally throughout the session.
Where can we shoot?
Anywhere that feels right for you; your home, outdoors, a hotel, studio, or somewhere with atmosphere and personal meaning.
What should I wear?
Anything you feel comfortable and yourself in. We’ll talk through ideas beforehand based on the mood and style you’re drawn to.
Can I bring someone?
Absolutely. If it helps you feel more comfortable, you’re very welcome to bring a friend or partner.
Will you share my photos?
Never without your explicit permission.
