Thanks for paying my site a visit.

My name is Reid Williams and I’ve been taking photographs ever since my parents gave the 12 year old me a one-button cardboard film camera to take on a family holiday. There was something slightly infuriating but magical about having to wait until the prints came back to see what you’d managed to capture; and, as I’m sure many of us remember, an awful lot of disappointment when you did finally get to see them. But, with a bit of skill and maybe  a little luck too, there was that one photograph that really worked; an image that becomes part of your life forever.

These days, with the advent of digital cameras and their LCD screens, we can see our work immediately. The advantages are numerous and obvious. But, for me at least, the goal is the same; to create those special images that really work and do justice to the moment; such that they stand the test of time.
