The Experience

A calm, supportive process from first conversation to final images

Every session is slightly different, but the process itself is usually far more straightforward and relaxed than people expect.

Some clients arrive with clear ideas. Others have no idea where to begin. Both are completely normal.

My role is to guide the shoot, shape the lighting and create photographs that feel natural, stylish and flattering without making things feel stiff or over-directed.

Here’s roughly how the process works.

Before your session

Every session starts with a relaxed conversation, usually over the phone or on Zoom, so we can talk through the kind of photographs you’re drawn to, any ideas you already have, and how you’d like the session to feel.

You don’t need to have everything figured out beforehand. Some clients arrive with Pinterest boards and detailed plans. Others just know they want something tasteful, flattering and a bit different from everyday life.

I’ll also help with outfit choices and, if we’re shooting at your home, we’ll talk practically about light, space and how to make things work comfortably without turning your bedroom into a full Hollywood film set.

During Your Session

I’ll guide the session throughout, helping with posing, lighting and small adjustments as we go, without making things feel stiff or overly staged.

Whether we’re shooting at home, in a hotel or in a studio, the aim is always the same: stylish, flattering photographs that still feel natural to you.

A NOTE ON OUTFIT CHANGES

Outfit changes are a completely normal part of the session, and privacy is handled naturally and respectfully throughout.

After your session

Your final images are professionally edited and delivered through a private online gallery where you can view everything in your own time and choose your favourites.

Prints, albums and wall art are also available if you’d like them, but there’s never any pressure to purchase anything beyond your chosen collection.

Privacy and trust

Boudoir photography requires trust, sensitivity and clear communication.

From the first conversation to the final image, your comfort and boundaries always come first. You decide what’s photographed, what’s shared, and what remains private.

Where we shoot

Most sessions take place at home, where people tend to feel most comfortable.

With the right light and approach, even simple spaces can photograph beautifully.

Boutique hotels, studios and selected outdoor locations are also possible if you’d prefer something with a different mood or style.

Common questions

What should I wear?

Anything that feels like you. Lingerie, shirts, knitwear, dresses or nothing at all can work beautifully depending on the style of shoot. We’ll talk through ideas beforehand.

Can I bring someone for support?

Absolutely. If it helps you feel more comfortable, you’re very welcome to bring a friend or partner along.

Do I need to know how to pose?

Not at all. I’ll guide you throughout the session in a way that feels natural and relaxed.

Will you share my photos?

Never without your explicit written permission.

Do you retouch?

Yes, carefully and naturally. I refine distractions while keeping skin texture, realism and character intact.

Ready when you are

If it feels like something you’d love to do, get in touch and we’ll talk it through properly.
