The Experience
A calm, supportive process from first conversation to final images
Boudoir photography is deeply personal, and your comfort is at the heart of everything I do. This isn’t about performance or perfection — it’s about connection, trust and creating images that feel honest, beautiful and true to who you are.
Here’s what you can expect.
Before your session
We set the tone together
Every session begins with a relaxed conversation — usually over the phone or video call — to understand the style you’re drawn to, what you want the images to express, your boundaries and comfort levels, and any nerves, concerns or ideas you’d like to share. There’s no pressure to know exactly what you want yet. We discover it together.
I’ll help you choose outfits, discuss how to prepare your space if the session is at home, and note the details of the shoot that will help you feel ready. Many clients tell me this conversation is the moment they start to feel excited rather than nervous.
On the day
A calm, natural and unhurried experience
I come to your home with everything we need — soft, flattering lighting, lenses, stands and a few small tools to shape natural light. Sessions flow gently and unforced. We begin slowly, moving at your pace. No hard posing. No awkward instructions.
Throughout the session, I offer gentle direction, clear guidance on how to stand, breathe and move, flattering angles and poses tailored to your body and mood, and space for moments of stillness, laughter and ease.
Most clients arrive convinced they’ll feel awkward…and within a few minutes, they don’t. This is a collaboration, not a performance. You are always in control.
A NOTE ON OUTFIT CHANGES
Changing outfits is handled discreetly and entirely at your pace. If you need privacy to change, I simply step into another room until you're ready — no rush, no pressure. We plan looks ahead of time to transition them naturally, relaxed and never expected or forced.
After your session
Beautiful images, delivered privately
Once your portraits are carefully edited, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view, download or select images for printing. You can choose from high-end album designs, framed prints, museum-quality wall art or simply keep everything digital.
What you share — and what stays private — is always your choice.
A note on trust, safety and sensitivity
Let’s acknowledge the obvious — because it matters
Boudoir photography is intimate work, and I know it carries added weight when the photographer is a man. This deserves honesty, not avoidance. I take this responsibility seriously. My job is not to sexualise, judge or direct you into anything that doesn’t feel like you. My role is to create a space where you feel safe, respected and seen — without pressure, expectation or assumptions. You are always in control. From the first conversation to the final image, your boundaries shape everything. You choose what you wear, what you reveal, what we explore and what we don’t.
Professionalism is non-negotiable. Women of all ages have trusted me with this process because they feel heard, respected and supported.
If you’d prefer to bring a friend or partner along, you’re always welcome to.
Boudoir photography requires care. You deserve nothing less.
This experience is for every woman
Age, body type, scars, insecurities — none of these are barriers
Almost every woman who books a boudoir session brings a quiet list of worries: “I’m too old for this.”, “I’m not the right shape.”, “What about my scars or stretch marks?”, “What if I don’t like myself in photos?”
I hear these concerns every week. None of them disqualify you.
Boudoir isn’t about fitting a certain look. It’s about celebrating the woman you are today — your softness, strength, experience, complexity and story. Scars, texture, lines, curves… all photographed with dignity, intention and beauty.
With thoughtful lighting, flattering direction and a supportive atmosphere, you will not be left wondering how to pose or what to do. You’ll simply be yourself — and the camera will meet you there.
For clients who want something bolder
Soft, subtle, sensual — or artistically daring
Some prefer gentle, intimate portraits. Some explore sensuality with confidence. Some choose artistic nude — celebrating shape, shadow and form in a way that feels powerful and expressive.
Whatever your vision, we tailor the session to your comfort and your boundaries.
Where we shoot
Your home, transformed
Most sessions take place in your home — the environment where you naturally feel most relaxed. With the right lighting and direction, even ordinary spaces become cinematic.
If you prefer a different setting, private studio hire or outdoor locations are available too.
FAQS
What should I wear?
Anything that feels like you — lingerie, shirts, knitwear, dresses or nothing at all. I will discuss options with you to help you decide. If you have a range of outfits that you feel comfortable with I can often narrow them down based on photographic considerations like colour, texture and how these might work in your particular surroundings.
Can I bring someone for support?
Yes, absolutely. I encourage it. Especially if it’s someone like a partner or a close friend who can help bring out your confidence even more. Some people prefer to make it a solo experience and find that they are more comfortable the fewer people are around. Everyone is different. As always, I meet you wherever you are at.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all. I guide you gently through everything.
Will you share my photos?
Never without your explicit written permission.
Do you retouch?
I edit with care but keep things natural — enhancing light, tone and mood without altering who you are.
Ready when you are
If you’re curious, excited or even a little nervous, that’s completely normal.
